Start with the mandate
An equity fund and a money-market fund serve different investment mandates. Comparing their raw returns alone hides those differences. Begin with category, instrument structure, restrictions and the relevant benchmark.
Choose a common observation
Use a common reporting month and an equivalent return basis where available. A missing value stays missing. The latest-disclosure mode can be useful, but each fund’s actual date remains important.
Look beyond one number
Inspect costs, downside evidence, disclosures, operational conditions and available history. Explore the positions behind a fund and the organization managing it. Use the compare tray to preserve your selection as you move between those views.
Research candidates help you find similar funds or different disclosed exposure. They are not a personal suitability assessment or an instruction to buy.
